Rich Haynie has over 30 years of experience in the marine industry. He was part owner of HCH Yacht Sales and NW Yachting magazine.

Rich started his insurance career 14 years ago to provide yacht and boat insurance for pleasure boaters as well as commercial insurance for yacht dealers, brokers, repair facilities and marinas. His goal was to provide clients with unparalleled customer service and superior coverage.

Rich is a member of the Northwest Yacht Brokers Association, which he and his partners at HCH Yacht Sales and a few business friends organized as an alternative venue for boat shows. He is also a member of The Advantage Group, Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of Washington, and Professional Insurance Agents. He holds a Broker's license for Property & Casualty insurance, and an Agent's licenses for Life & Disability insurance.

Dick Burke

Dick Burke has extensive cruising experience and has owned vessels for the last 30 years.

At Rich Haynie Insurance, Dick focuses on all types of pleasure boat commercial marine businesses and yacht clients. During his 20 years in the marine insurance business, Dick has helped many clients through difficult and emotional times, included total yacht losses.

Prior to joining Rich Haynie Insurance, Dick was a Senior Yacht Underwriter at GRE Insurance and an agent for several other agencies in Greater Seattle. He is currently a member of the Poulsbo Yacht Club.

Scott Rohrer

Since 1968 Scott Rohrer has worked in the local marine trades as a rigger, boat builder, sail maker and professional skipper. As a racing sailor, he skippered boats to wins on the Pacific, in the Mediterranean and in Scandinavian waters.

At Rich Haynie Insurance, Scott focuses on large yachts, international exposures and commercial risks. In his career, he has insured thousands of yachts, small boats and marine businesses.

Scott contributes to the maritime community and sits on the Ships Drawings Committee at Puget Sound Maritime Historical Society and consults to the Collections Committee at the Center for Wooden Boats. He also contributed biographical pieces on several West Coast designers to the recently-published Encyclopedia of Yacht Designers (W. W. Norton & Co.).

Robin Fuller

Robin Fuller has 23 years of experience in the insurance industry, including Marine, Property and Casualty Insurance.

At Rich Haynie Insurance, Robin's main focus is in writing new Yacht and Boat Insurance Policies, reviewing existing customers renewing policies, and writing Home, Auto, Excess Liability and Life Insurance.

Robin is licensed in Property, Casualty, Life and Disability Insurance. Robin works with clients to discuss new insurance options or review current coverage to ensure there are no gaps. Whether clients are insuring their auto or multi-million dollar home, Robin carefully selects the company that will meet their insurance needs.

TerryLee Smith-Hatton Rich Haynie Insurance
TerryLee Smith-Hatton

TerryLee Smith-Hatton has 27-years of marine insurance experience. She also serves as Secretary for Tacoma Inboard Racing Association and Secretary for Tacoma Water Rescue.

At Rich Haynie Insurance, TerryLee specializes in marine insurance, but also has a strong background as a personal & commercial lines agent. She helps clients with home, auto, personal and umbrella policies. In addition, she works on specialty policies for clients with items of high value such as classic autos.

For 11 years, TerryLee owned and campaigned a successful 6-Liter modified hydroplane called Pure Adrenaline. After a serious accident at Spanaway Lake, she joined Region 10 Water rescue which provides rescue support for hydroplane races.

Jacky Handran

Jacky Handran is a life long resident of Seattle who began her insurance career over 30 years ago in her home town. She has worked for insurance companies as an underwriter assistant and as an underwriter before moving to the agency side of the business. She enjoys working directly with the customer to help design a custom insurance package to cover the insurance needs. Jacky has been licensed in Property and Casualty Insurance for many years.

Jacky has spent many years cruising Puget Sound on a number of power boats that she crewed as first mate. She especially enjoys Decatur Island in the San Juans for a cruising destination. She understands the unique relationship of making sure the personal umbrella extends protection to the customer's boat or yacht. Her extensive personal lines background will be of great help with our current clients, as well as helping prospective customers with insurance quotes for their auto, home, umbrella and yacht.

Hillary Iveans

Hillary Iveans grew up with insurance in her family. Her father owned an insurance agency in Kirkland. Her mother also works as an accountant for a Surplus Lines Broker in Seattle. Hillary grew up riding horses and spending her weekends traveling the northwest showing in Hunter/Jumper competitions. Though she hasn't spent much time on the open water, her mother owned a small runabout that they would use to explore the San Juan Islands, Hood Canal and cruise around Lake Washington. Hillary's favorite place to go crabbing and vacation is Pleasant Harbor.

At Rich Haynie Insurance, Hillary strives to obtain the most comprehensive coverage available for each client. It is most important to Hillary that her clients are happy with the coverage's she can obtain for them. She specializes in writing new policies for yacht clients and providing outstanding customer service for our existing clients. She is licensed for Property Casualty.

Hillary has spent the past year as an Administrative assistant and managing all of the Surplus Lines filings for a Surplus Lines Broker in Seattle.
